About Motorhead Miniatures, LLC
Motorhead Miniatures was created by Drew Heitner, who gives a brief history of the brand -
'I was walking the SEMA show in November of 2003. There were beautiful women in many exhibitor booths signing calendars featuring their images and performing other promotional duties. The guys were lined up in the aisles for their turn to get the autograph, take a picture, and just meet these gorgeous spokes-models in various states of undress. It occurred to me that in all the dioramas I had ever seen, I had never seen figurines of automobile spokes-models. I had seen pit crews and drivers and spectators and such; but never beautiful women to adorn the beautiful cars. So I created five figurines of spokes-models in bathing suits and lingerie in 18 scale and I named them 'Fast Women'. I took them to the Nuremberg and New York Toy Fairs in February of 2004. Although Fast Women was an immediate success, there were those in the hobby markets that found the name and designs a bit too blue. In addition, I got instant feedback from the markets that we needed to make more than just figures of women. However, marketing a set of machismo mechanics or garages tools under the brand Fast Women was never goning to fly. So, in 2006 we changed Fast Women into Motorhead Miniatures, and began offering a wide range of figurine accessories and characters, both male and female, in several popular scales for model cars and trains.'
